A lot has been going on…
I can remember so vividly when I got my calling to photography, I truly remember like it was yesterday. I picked up this Canon point and shoot camera and the rest is history. I would take that camera everywhere that I went, to the grocery store, the mall, out on a hike. it really didn’t matter where I was going I just grabbed it and said to myself that “You are going to find something today that brings you enough joy that you want to capture the moment.” I was called to it, my soul felt at peace when I had that camera was in my hand. Fast forward ten plus years and I still have that peace when I pick up a camera. My mind, body and soul crave the journey of somewhere new, somewhere I can make a photo and remember the feeling and the time that the photo was made. I love it with all of my heart and even though life throws some curve balls here and there and for a moment you may not pick up a camera because of work getting in the way or relationships becoming a priority, when you pick that camera up again that same feeling comes back to you. the same love, peace, joy and happiness corses through your veins and you feel at home. I have learned a lot over the years and one thing that has always stood out is if you keep moving forward and becoming 1% better everyday you are going to be able to show people some great work that you do. You will be able to publish that beautiful moment you captured and people are going to feel what you feel and enjoy it just as much as you did while taking it. Never give up on your calling and never let it go. Persevere, work hard and make it happen for you because you want it.
I put out a new vlog… Finally
It has been such a long time since I put out any new material. I have been so focused on creating my style and identity and it has required quite a bit of work in order to accomplish it. I have spent a great deal of time really trying to understand what and who I am as a photographer and what I wanted to say. I finally figured out that I am good with who I am and what I bring to the table as a creative and I am so very excited to get out and create a brand for myself.
What’s your brand? Well I am me, I shoot what I want, I go where I want and find the places that bring me to an emotional place where I can really put out some amazing work that I stand with and adore as much as I do a camera. I am Solomon David Gomez and I call myself a photographer. I am a photographer, I love filming life and what I see and bringing it to life in the only way that I can. I am a photographer, I am a cinematographer and I know what I am worth and what I want in order to become and stay successful.
Come with me on this journey and see how much I’ve grown but also how much more I will grow.
Cheers.

I think that all of us find things that we like to do and some of us find things that we love to do and sometimes in those things we find others that do the same thing and sometimes mimic them in order to get more likes on social media or even be taken seriously in the craft that we chose. I was or am one of those people who feel like my work doesn’t stand up to others but I also learned that the work that I produce is mine and only mine because I am the only me. I always found myself comparing myself to others and feeling like I wasn’t good enough or that I needed to do more in order to be successful a photographer. I found out that it was doubt and my mind playing tricks with me and I learned a few things that worked for me.
grab a camera.
Go out and shoot what you like and what touches you and brings you joy.
Go home and edit your photo.
or don’t edit your photo.
Raw images are dope too.
Go out and do it over and over again.
You will find that you will get better, see things differently every time you go out and you will also learn your own style and what you love about photography. Eventually you will post that photo on social media and you will get at least one person to become your fan and that will build and build until you have a massive following of like-minded individuals who too are being authentically themselves and doing things that they love. I found this to work for me and I hope that it can do the same for anyone reading this. You ARE enough, you are valuable and your photos are cool. Yes lots of people do this, some may be scholars at it but you will get there and you will kill it too but remember be you and don’t try to be like everyone else.
Welcome to my site
Hello and welcome to my new site. I have been a photographer for some time now and I really enjoy being able to go out and find all the beauty that our world has to offer. It is always a privilege to be able to show you all what I capture with my camera lens. I am still working on the page and new content will be coming soon but for now I do have quite a bit of my work here already. Enjoy it and feel free to email me if you have any print that you want to make yours. I am working with a company for prints and I will keep you all updated. Thank you in advance for your support.
